Professor.

Sergio here.  I was trying to get your attention today before my animation
class, but then the class started and you had to leave.. so anyways. it just
wasn't possible.

So here's the thing.  I'm shooting a short for my Film 1 class where i would
like to try to get some support from your Freestyle Hacking class...
The script pretty much just describes my own over-amplified point of view of
the UT system; which to me it is just a small representation of a bigger
system.. it's just presented differently, but it's nothing but an
introduction to what's coming next.     I don't know if that makes any
sense.. I'll be more specific.

In my story a man, played by me (i'm trying to really take my own chances..
if somebody is to take the blame for things, will have to be me)  is taken
into an office where he's forced to pick a color (meaning a path.. a
career... a group... whatever you want to call it).. only that when he is
shown the color palette where he would be choosing from, he realizes that
all colors are the same...  that awesome burned orange..

so, that's kind of the premise...  and the idea in the end, in a short of no
more than 6 minutes, is to show him realizing that the reason why it is so
hard for him to pick a certain color, is because he is made of all colors.
That's why the film is called El Camaleon (which in spanish means, the
chameleon)

There are different ideas that i would like to present to your class.
Either way, i would love if they could help me out in a March sequence,
where i plan to have people dressed with this color, marching to a same
beat... and where the man realizes that he needs to break away and he takes
his new shirt off, which sets up a whole prosecution from the Agents of
Order (which look very similar to football players in this sort of
hyper-real world.. that is pretty much the same world of UT, if you just
paid a little bit more of attention)

having said that.. let me know if you could let me speak in front of your
class next tuesday so i can tell everyone what i need from them.  Also let
me know if you think this is a good idea.  The last thing i want is to make
this something silly, where people go "oh.. wow.. he's so hardcore...
..blah, blah..blah".  I just want to make a good short.. and i want to tell
my story.. of not being able to fit in in to a particular group, because i
have never wanted to narrow myself to anything.. (call it filmmaker, etc,
etc) and that's what this system expects and wants of me.
