As we work on documents or run programs, the last thing that we want is a virus destroying or interrupting our work or deleting files from our hard drives! When a virus catches a user by surprise, and usually executes its programming at the most inopportune moments, irrational thoughts and fear can run through our minds. Viruses are a part of computing and being infected by one is inevitable. The best thing to do is relax, take a deep breath and understand what is happening.
