| Christopher L. McConnell studies Internet media and communications at the University of Texas' Advanced Communications Technology Laboratory (ACTLab), a part of the Department of Radio-TV-Film. Born and raised in Tulsa, OK, at the age of eighteen he was helplessly drawn to the University of Oklahoma by an evil force otherwise known as a National Merit Scholarship. Messing around in mathematics for three years, he eventually graduated with dual degrees in English and Film & Video Studies. While at OU, he also published a 'zine, made lots of stickers, and generally annoyed his favorite professor. After a few months of post-graduation homelessness, he settled in the West Philadelphia neighborhood of Spruce Hill where he lived in a huge, filthy Victorian row-home with a revolving cast of slacker roommates and four of their unruly cats. During his tenure in Philly he held editorial positions at two computer magazines: ENT and Enterprise Systems Journal. He enjoys cooking vegetarian food, record collecting, and still photography. He now resides in East Austin, where he remains a Sooner fan. |
